WEEK17 – General information
There are no deadlines, except that the events take place in week 17.
Some libraries start before with exhibitions and some have events “around” week 17, that’s ok.
There is a logo you can use, and feel free to make your own version with WEEK17 in your own language (the graphic ball is without text, so you can add your own). Look under LOGO on the WEEK17 website or under your country.
There is inspiration in the box “inspiration”, ex. Sustainable Development Goals & Libraries – Inspirational examples (see below) and further inspiration from EBLIDA/ELAN (EU), Sustainable Libraries Initiative (US) and Green Library Week (UK) and The Green Librarian Handbook, IFLA Guidelines for Green and Sustainable Libraries, ect.
There are two webinars, which contain information about WEEK17 (under webinars).
And we have four new webinars from the ELAN project coming up soon.
Libraries Leading Change for Climate and Sustainability – The ELAN Sustainability Webinar Series
You do not need to report back to us, but we like to share the good ideas and examples, so if you describe some of the events, we will collect them and put them on the website.
It is also possible to share them here: https://www.facebook.com/SDGWEEK17 or at our new Instagram profile – https://www.instagram.com/sdgweek17/
There is no further registration, than the mail we will receive.
The idea is to keep participation simple. When there a more libraries in a country joining, they usually start making their own local WEEK17 network. Some associations provide a homepage, logos, inspiration, etc. We will link to that under each country.
